Carol Mason Talk.2

Dr. Carol Mason is Chair of Gender and Women’s Studies Department at the University of Kentucky. Previously, Dr. Mason was the Director of Gender and Women’s Studies at Oklahoma State University.  Dr. Mason worked with a group of students inspired by the annual Civil Liberties and Public Policy (CLPP) conference at Hampshire College to start the pre-cursor event to Take Root, which was a one day regional workshop “Interdisciplinary Perspectives and Reproductive and Sexual Health” hosted at OSU in January 2011. For more information about Dr. Mason, visit her faculty page.

Her public talk will discuss Bruce Goff, an architect known for his art deco work in Oklahoma. From 1943 to 1955, Goff was the Chair of the School of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma, before he was forced to resign because of his sexuality.
