Join us on Friday, April 26 (9am to 1:30pm), for the Take Root Finale in Oklahoma as we prepare to transition the conference to its new home in Kentucky. We will start with a 30-minute documentary film that grapples with the issue of laws demanding that dying pregnant women be kept alive regardless of their family’s or their own wishes, followed by a panel discussion. The next session is roundtable discussion featuring representatives from reproductive justice organizations including Oklahoma Call for Reproductive Justice, Kentucky Health Justice Network, Trust Women and others, who will speak about the legacy of Take Root in Oklahoma, its future in Kentucky, and the challenges facing RJ advocates in red states today. Our last session features presentations by scholars who do both contemporary and historical research on issues related to abortion and reproductive justice in American, Mexico, and beyond.
All sessions take place in Dale Hall Tower (9th floor) on the University of Oklahoma campus. All are welcome. We hope to see you there!
